The Journey focuses on supporting people to self-manage their Type 2 Diabetes. There are a number of themes or areas of personalisation within the Journey, including:

The Journey runs over 9 months, and is primarily message based, delivering notifications most days. The Journey incorporates personalisation factors based on motivation, such as goals, who matters and what matters for the participant.

The Journey is culturally adapted using personalisation for Māori as well as European participants.

This Journey recognised the cost of Type 2 Diabetes to the NZ Health economy, and sought to demonstrate that a simple SMS based intervention could improve Diabetes outcomes. Intervengine has adapted the intervention to be delivered in App.
